New to WI
Welcome writing teachers! Let me tell you something you probably already know: Effective writing skills are a essential element of being an effective student, citizen, worker, and person. We live in an increasingly connected and interconnected world where, often, our written words represent who we are and what we do. While teaching writing is important in all classes, it is not always an easy thing to do. Here is some good news: ECU's Writing Program is here to support you and your student writers.
This website is a nice starting point or introduction to the many digital resources the University Writing Program (UWP) has to offer. Click on one of the images below to see what is available. You may notice that in addition to online resources , the writing program sponsors a variety of writing across the curriculum (WAC) professional development opportunities. We are also more than happy to meet with you one-on-one, come to department meetings, and plan class visits to discuss any writing and writing pedagogy ideas or questions you may have. One more thing: The content of this site is an ongoing project, so if you have any feedback on the pages or additional resources to include on the site, please let me, Kerri Flinchbaugh ([email protected]), know . Together, we can work to make a rich collection of resources for writing faculty at ECU.
